Remembering - Robin Gibb of Bee Gees - Dies at age 62

Bee Gees - Massachusetts above

Robin Gibb of Bee Gees dies at age 62 on Sunday, May 20, 2012.

This is another big blow to us music fans.

Robin was born in Manchester, England, in 1949, along with twin brother Maurice.

Robin's brother Maurice died in 2003 of the same complications from a twisted intestine in 2010.

Two years ago, Robin Gibb had battled colon and liver cancer and had made a spectacular recovery.

Recently he developed a second tumor along with pneumonia and had surgery last month and this time he did not recover from it.

Gibbs was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1994 and the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three years later.

So tragic. R.I.P Robin you will be missed by so many.

Your music will always live on but you're at peace now.

Thanks for all the amazing music ....

You can read more on Robin Gibb here on MSN.

But, first listen to all of the beautiful music he made and look at the videos.

Robin Gibb - Don't Cry Alone

Album - The Titanic Requiem On 15 April 1912 the Titanic sank in the North Atlantic and over 1,500 people died. 100 years later, Robin Gibb and his son RJ, commemorate this disastrous voyage and catastrophic loss of life with the release of The Titanic Requiem, their first classical work together. Recorded at Air studios with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the RSVP Voices choir, and produced by Cliff Masterson and Savvas Iosifides, this modern classic includes three vocal pieces: Daybreak (Mario Frangoulis), Christmas Day (Isabel Suckling), and Don't Cry Alone in which Robin Gibb sings the evocative lead vocal.

There some wonderful photos of Robin in this video above.

Be Gees One Night Only full concert video above.

Barry, Maurice and Robin Gibb were performing together from childhood but it was in Australia in 1960 that they were first billed as the Bee Gees. The band went on to become one of the most successful performing, recording and songwriting acts of all time. This full-length concert was shot at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on November 14, 1997 and is one of very few Bee Gees performances ever filmed. It has consistently been one of Eagle Vision s biggest selling titles.

Celebrate 50 years of the Bee Gees.
